SM Entertainment, Avex Group and Universal Music Japan to establish a joint company
SM Entertainment's CEO Lee Soo Man together with Avex Group Holding's CBO Shinji Hayashi and Universal Music Japan's CEO Naoshi Fujikura held an opening ceremony for their future's joint company called "everysing Japan" on April 30th.
SM, Avex Vanguard(AVI) and Universal Music Japan will base on each company's strength to provide a more creative and differentiated services in the field of digital content in the future. The joint company "everysing Japan" is set to be established in May.
SM is planning to proceed with the karaoke application called "everysing" launching in Japan starting from September.
During the ceremony, CEO Naoshi Fujikura said,"With the development of the "everysing" business in Japan, we will be able to deliver a new form of entertainment with its rich musical repertoire","SM and AVI will be actively working together in order to provide many services that can meet up with everyone's expectation".
CEO Shinji Hayashi said,"Please give a lot of interest for "everysing" cause it won't focus only in Japan but also throughout the whole Asia and the world".
Lee Soo Man said,""everysing" is not only advancing into the Japanese market, but also to combine its content and platform in order to create a new business model. We will work together to build "everysing" as a successful cutural platform to help create a new digital lifestyle in Asia".
In addition, Lee Soo Man also mentioned about the Sewol tragedy with both the CEOs Naoshi Fujikura and Shinji Hayashi. They later decided to donate 10 million won to aid for the relief effort of the accident, and the donation will be delivered to the Korean Red Cross by Lee Soo Man.
