The 4 MCs of MBC's "Radio Star" include Kim Gu Ra, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Gook Jin and Kyuhyun gathered and made a donation for Danwon High School.

The four of them donated 100 million won to the students at Danwon High School in Ansan who were suffered from the Sewol tragedy. Previously Kyuhyun also directly called the school's official and made his own donation of 25 million won to the student welfare.

It was reported that there have been many celebrities coming out with their donations but requested to keep their names unknown in order to avoid media play.

'Doctor Strangers' unveils first still cuts of Sistar's Bora

On April 26th, SBS' upcoming drama "Doctor Stranger" releases some of the first still cuts of Sistar's Bora.

Bora will take the role of Lee Chung Yi who is a defector from North Korea. She has a tomboyish character and always acts masculine but in fact she has a secret crush towards Park Hoon (Lee Jong Suk) whom she has been staying with after escaping North Korea.

Sistar is known for having a sexy and glamorous image on stage, but for this drama viewers will be able to see another side of Bora as she won't dress in pretty clothes and acts feminine on the screen.

"Doctor Stranger" is scheduled to broadcast on May 5th.

British child singer Connie Talbot to donate all concert profits to Sewol tragedy victims

It is not only pure Koreans who are willing to lend their helping hands for the families of the victims of the capsized Sewol ship.

Connie Talbot, a 13 year-old British singer, is in South Korea for her two separate shows in the country. With the unfortunate fate of the ship, she thought twice on continuing her shows. However, the mentions that she received on her Twitter from her fans, she decided to push through hoping that she can give a little hope.

She also expressed her deep intention to help, and decided that all the profits from her concerts will be totally donated to the foundations which are helping the victims.

She held her first concert in Osan on April 23rd, and will stage the second in Seoul on the 27th.

'The Fatal Encounter' aka 'The King's Wrath' promises to show a phenomenal battle scene!

The upcoming true-to-life film, 'The Fatal Encounter' (literally translated into The King's Wrath), is going to offer a phenomenal battle scene.

The battle scene will focus on the assassination attempt on King Jeongjo (played actor Hyun Bin), the 22nd ruler of the Joseon Dynasty. The production team built an entire building for the specific battle scene which will showcase the intense fight scene between King Jeongjo and his assassin and the actors deep interpretation of their role. The whole fight scene was directed by the same martial arts director who has worked with director Lee Jae Gyu for 'Damo' and 'The King 2Hearts.'

'The Fatal Encounter,' which is top-billed by Hyun Bin, Jung Jae-young and Jo Jung-suk, will be locally released on April 30th, and will be shown also in 25 North American cinemas on May 23rd.

'Infinity Challenge' production crew announced an official statement for Lee SSang Gil's withdrawal.

On April 23rd, the production crew of MBC 'Infinite Challenge' made a sincere apology to viewers for Gil's drunk driving issue.

They shared, "We regret that this news broke out at a bad time, and we realize how disappointed all of our viewers would feel. Gil is deeply regretting his mistake himself, and he told us that he would temporarily withdraw from the show for a while. We decided to respect Gil's decision, and 'Infinity Challenge' will still continue with six members"

They added, "We will carefully edit Gil's parts in the recorded episodes, and we will do our best to pay all of this back."

The MBC crew apologized once again and promise to work harder to pay back for viewers.

The drama is top-billed by Lee Jong Suk (as Park Hoon) and Jin Se Yeon (as Song Jae-hee). The young Lee Jong Suk and his father, who is a physician, were captured by North Korea. His father trained him to be a doctor, and he became an excellent chest surgeon. He escaped to South Korea, and worked so hard in a hospital where he feels out of place. He wants to bring his love, which is played by Jin Se Yeon (an anesthesiologist with secret mission), to where he is.

The main men of Korea's upcoming TV shows feat. Lee Bum Soo, Jaejoong, Siwan of MBC's 'Triangle' (Part 2)

After featuring Kang Ji Hwan of KBS' 'Big Man,' it is MBC's 'Triangle' handsome and talented men's turn---Lee Bum Soo, JYJ's Kim Jaejoong, and ZE:A's Im Siwan. The new drama will replace 'Empress Ki.'

The story will revolve on the three brothers played by Lee Bum Soo as the eldest named Jang Dong-soo, Jaejoong as Jang Dong-chul is the middle brother, and the youngest is Siwan's character named as Jang Dong-woo. The three were unfortunately separated when they were young after their parents were killed in an accident. After twenty years, they met again without knowing their connection with each other.

Jang Dong-soo (Lee Bum-soo) became a detective just like his father, and is searching for his two younger siblings. Jang Dong-chul (Kim Jaejoong) became a leader of a gang and uses Heo Young-dal as his other name. Jang Dong-woo (Im Siwan) has no memory of his biological family, but was adopted by a wealthy chaebol family, so he uses the name Yoon Yang-ha.

'Triangle' will premiere on May 5th. It will air on MBC every Monday and Tuesday at 22:00 KST.

The main men of Korea's upcoming TV shows feat. Kang Ji Hwan of KBS 'Big Man' (Part 1)

The first actor to be featured is Kang Ji Hwan who will be returning with KBS drama 'Big Man' replacing 'The Full Sun.'

Kang Ji Hwan will portray as Kim Ji-hyuk, a broke and jobless man, who became wealthy after he learned that he is a chaebol (a South Korean form of business conglomerate) heir. However, those were just lies which triggered him to revenge to balance the inequities of life. He will be with equally talented actors and actresses such as Choi Daniel as Kang Dong-seok (the heir of Hyunsung Group who will do everything just to survive in business), Lee Da-hee as So Mi-ra (the daughter of the chauffeur of Hyunsung Group, manager of the in-house staff, love interest of Dong-seok but she falls for Ji-hyuk), and Jung So-min as Kang Jin-ah (Dong-seok's younger brat sister who also falls with Ji-hyuk).

'Big Man' will premiere on April 28th. It will air on KBS2 every Monday and Tuesday at 22:00 KST.

A French production agency produced a poster of Ryu Seung Ryong for his upcoming film 'The Target'

A French production agency unveiled a new special poster for the upcoming Korean film, 'The Target,' featuring Ryu Seung Ryong solely.

On the poster, Ryu Seung Ryong is wearing a cap and a black apparel. It was reported that the French production agency produced the poster themselves because they were impressed with Ryu Seung Ryong's effective portrayal of his role. The agency's representative said, "We are very happy to be part of the promotion of 'The Target.' This film shows that the Korean film industry is making its progress, and we were fascinated by Ryu Seung Ryong's acting."

'The Target' is a remake of the 2010 French film 'Point Blank,' and topbilled Ryu Seung Ryong, Yoo Jun Sang and Lee Jin Wook. It is invited to the 67th Cannes International Film Festival. It will be released on April 30th.

San E attends an event in the benefit of the families of the Sewol victims

It was reported that San E made his time available to participate with the event organized by 'Korea Nanoom Welfare Society' on April 24th for the effort to ease the burden of the families affected with the unfortunate tragedy met by the passenger ship Sewol on April 16th which most on board were students from Danwon High School.

The day before, April 23rd, San E was added on the list of Korean celebrities who helped the families financially. San E donated 10 million KRW.

Meanwhile, San E was supposed to comeback with his newest song, 'Body Language,' on April 22nd, but it was postponed temporarily. On the other hand, KBS banned 'Body Language' because they see it inappropriate for broadcast due to its sexually suggestive lyrics.

Members of popular variety programs MBC's Infinity Challenge and SBS' Running Man pay their respect and condolences by visiting the temporary memorial service of the victims of the Sewol tragedy.

In addition to Yoo Jae Suk and HaHa who are appearing in both programs, other Infinity Challenge members such as Park Myung Su, Jeong Jun Ha, Noh Hong Chul, and Jeong Hyeong Don along with Running Man members Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo arrived quietly in Ansan Olympic Museum today.

In particular, the Running Man members purposely arrived later to avoid people and media and silently pray for the souls of the deceased. It has been also reported that some members from both programs made a private donations for the victims and the families.

Suzy and Junho are the next idols to come out with their own donations to aid for the Sewol victims and rescue operation.

On April 25th, Life Sharing Practice Association at Gwangju revealed that Miss A's Suzy donated 50 million won as a support to the families of Sewol victims on April 22nd. According to the official rep, Suzy also donates 10 million won annually to help all the pediatric cancer patients.

Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association also revealed that 2PM's Junho donated 30 million won. As he said even though it's just a small amount of money, but he hope it will be used to help all the bereaved families.

Kyuhyun donates 25 million won to Danwon High School

On April 25th, according to an official source, Super Junior's Kyuhyun donated 25 million won to Danwon High School.

In particular, since he didn't want anyone to know about his donation so he made a direct call to the schooland asked for a way to donate for the school. The money will be used for Danwon's student welfare as well as for self-governing activities of the students.

Following Lee Joon, Suzy, Junho, Kyuhyun is the next idol to come out with his own donation.

YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk sympathizes to the parents of the students died in the sunken ferry tragedy and donates 500 million won.

Actress Oh Yeon Seo also made a donation to Sewol tragedy.

According to her agency, Wellmade StarM, Oh Yeon Seo has been constantly making donation through Red Cross Korea for a long time. She has just donated 10 million won to share the pain of the ferry victims and their families.

She shared, "As soon as I heard the news, my heart began to hurt at the thought of those students. I really hope that the missing would come back to their families.”
