Ailee to debut in Japan in September!

Powerful female soloist Ailee is going to impress Japanese fans as she is confirmed to debut in Japan under Warner Music Japan in September.

According to YMC, Ailee's agency, "Ailee is going to make her debut in Japan this September. She will promote U&I in Korea until the end of the month and there would be no follow up song as she will be gearing with her Japanese debut making 'Heaven' as her debut single."

It was also revealed that Ailee has been practicing Japanese even during her trainee days in preparation for her future plans.

YG Entertainment explains G-Dragon's controversial Instaphoto

G-Dragon is in the hot seat now, and that's not directly because of his concerts or his music.

Recently, he posted a photo on his Instagram that sparked into a controversy. In the photo, he wore a gray T-shirt over his head and his face is painted black. It has the caption, 'X'.

The photo became a great news because it tapped a very sensitive issue. In US, American artists paid tribute to the slain American youth Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old African American high school student, by wearing a hoodie. With the black paint on G-Dragon’s face, many thought that it's about Trayvon Martin.

A representative for G-Dragon explained, “The face paint is only one of the color variations (black, white, and red) for his next album cover. It is not meant to be a political or racial statement.”

Trayvon Martin was shot by George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old mixed-race Hispanic, on February 26, 2012.

Wassup, who has been training for three years, is a seven-member hip hop group created by Sony Music Korea and Mafia Record.

Now, they have a new vocalist in the name of Yoon Ji Hyun. They will revive their very own song, “Turn Up the Radio”.

Sinawe is the first-ever heavy metal/rock band in South Korea. It was formed by the efforts of Shin Dae-cheol, the son of Shin Jung-hyeon, who is considered the father of Korean rock music, in 1986.

'WonderBoyz' decides to divide themselves!

WonderBoyz shows up at ‘Wonder TV‘ to battle against each other to prove who's the best in cooking.

They divided themselves into two groups: Seoul team has K and Master One while Busan Team consists of Young Boy and Bakchigi. Busan Team cooked first, and they chose to prepare Muk-Chee-Ppa. Seoul team cooked what they called, ‘WonderBoyz ramen’.

We hope that we can taste those!

Suzy to host 2013 Seoul Drama Awards!

Miss A's Suzy, who played Dam Yeo-wool in the hit drama Gu Family Book, is going to host the 8th Seoul International Drama Awards (2013 SDA) alongside her fellow Gu Family actor Lee Sungjae, who played the villain Jo Gwan-woong.

The awarding ceremony will take places on September 5th at the National Theater of Korea's Main Hall and will be aired live on MBC at 5:10PM KST.

Aside from that, their drama is also nominated for Outstanding Korean Drama, Outstanding Korea Drama - Actress (Suzy) and Outstanding Korean OST (Baek Jiyoung's Spring Rain & Suzy's Don't Forget Me).

BEAST changes 'Shadow' choreography!

BEAST showed a new and more dynamic choreography for their comeback single 'Shadow' on their stage at Mnet MCountdown! on August 1. In this new choreography, the boys got rid of their back up dancers and focuses only to their movements.

Yoon Dojoon explained, "Since we have more space to dance, we could perform more dynamic and emotional feel about the song. We will show our detailed choreography to emphasized our dance moves."

Dara reaches 1M twitter followers!

Dara opened her twitter account last September 17, 2012. Even though she's famous as a 2NE1 member, she still chose to channel her Philippine show business roots and named her account “krungy21” and described herself as the 'Pambansang Krungkrung ng Pilipinas'. It comes from an informal Filipino language, “krungkrung”, which means 'crazy' literally. However, Dara became the exclusive bearer of that name because of her wacky personality.

After 10 months of more than 1,500 tweets, she is now followed by more than 1,000,000 Blackjacks, krung krungs, Daralings, co-stars and others.

To show her happiness, she posted a tweet and a photo where she held two bottles which she was about to drink.

f(x)‘s Victoria uploaded a photo on her Weibo account where she hugged a huge stuffed bear, not a real one of course.

She wrote, “How did it get down to the ground to sit? Let me hug it.” In the photo, Victoria smiled in front of a camera while she is hugging the stuffed bear.

U-Kiss alleged plagiarism issue against a Spanish song unveiled!

After the 2NE1's 'I am the Best' plagiarism allegation, here is another one. This time, it is U-Kiss' '0330', released in 2011, against a Spanish song.

The fans of U-Kiss discovered a video of a Spanish song entitled, ‘Si Tú No Estás‘ (If you are Not). The good listening skill of the supporters allowed them to conclude that the above song is not an original as it is claimed by the artist named Jenzy.

The alleged plagiarism arose from the fact that the artist who interpreted the song didn't give neither disclaimer nor credit towards U-Kiss, NH Media or Kim Tae Hyun (the composer).

On the other hand, NH Media thanked U-Kiss fans for informing them.

BoA, Super Junior’s Siwon and Son Hyun Joo to be the last guests on SBS ‘Thank You’

SBS has announced the cancellation of variety talk show ‘Thank You’ after five months of run.

A representative confirmed, “The episode 22 of ‘Thank You’ to be aired on the 9th will be the final episode.” He also explained that the main reason for the show’s cancellation is to secure the network’s program diversity as ‘Thank You’ has the same concept with ‘Healing Camp’.

For its last episode, the variety talk show will feature singer BoA and actor Son Hyun Joo, bringing the talented actor and singer together for the first time. Super Junior’s Siwon will make an appearance as well.

‘Thank You’, which kicked off this March, features deep interviews with celebrities. However, the show has also struggled in viewership ratings with a poor average of 4-5 percent.

Jang Geun Suk’s fans throw surprise birthday party at airport

Jang Geun Suk’s fans expressed their love by throwing a surprise party for their idol.

On August 1, Jang Geun Suk was scheduled to depart for Japan to officially launch his new fashion brand ‘ZIKZIN’ and his fan club members prepared a surprise birthday party at Gimpo International Airport.

Approximately 2,000 fans gathered at the airport from an hour prior to Jang Geun Suk’s arrival. They surprised him with presents such as flowers and birthday cake, and wished him a happy birthday with a birthday song.

BoA gets rejected from dramas because she’s too famous?

BoA recently revealed the burden of her popularity as a singer.

In a recent filming of the SBS talk show ‘Thank You’, BoA appeared as guest and revealed some struggles she had gone through as a celebrity.

She said, “I’ve constantly thought about derailing the life I have as the ‘singer BoA’ over the past 13 years,” revealing that she long wanted to try out acting.

BoA continued, “I tried for a long time to move into acting, but I was rejected in the casting process so many times by casting departments as they said it was too burdensome to take me due to the image I have as a singer. I wanted to be known as the new actress Kwon BoA, not just the artist BoA.”

Meanwhile, BoA finally got a chance to act as she has been cast in Hollywood film, ‘Make Your Move 3D’ along with American dancer-actor Derek Hough which recently opened in Europe.
