Lee Kyung Kyu is suffering from an controversy for playing golf while the whole nation is mourning for the Sewol victims.
On April 26th, YTN reported that he was spotted making a round of golf with his friends at Mudeungsan Country Club in Hwasun, Jeonnam at 11am on the same day. The media outlet stated that while the entire entertainment industry is in deep grief over the tragic accident and everyone is mourning for all the victims, Lee Kyung Kyu will get himself into a controversy because of his inappropriate behavior.
His agency Koen Stars later released a statement about this issue,"Lee Kyung Kyu made an appointment for that golf course months ago that's why he had to attend","After he knew about his controversy, he left the golf course immediately. He also apologized for causing inconvenience to everyone"
