Cube and FNC Entertainment join SM, YG, JYP and Star Empire to fight against chart manipulation
SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and Star Empire Entertainment have filed an official complaint against digital music chart manipulation issues, and it has been reported that Cube Entertainment and FNC Entertainment have joined in as well.
The agencies have submitted a complaint to the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office requesting it investigate allegations that competing companies are faking play counts on online music websites.
Joining the battle, Cube Entertainment stated, “We are with SM, YG, JYP and Star Empire on this issue, which is a disease to the music industry.”
FNC Entertainment also stated,“ We hope that the chart manipulation becomes cleared. We hope to make healthy music market through fair competition.”
